Dog lover, especially passionate about rescue dog efforts (https://www.instagram.com/fleckie_dog/) Combine all this with an entertainer, whose joyous spirit has created award-winning songs and usually tours upward of 80 shows per year. Melanie Dekker has been known to enjoy chocolate sprinkles on bread (Hagelslag); with her Dutch family background, mayonnaise is also a hard habit to kick.  She’s opened for Bryan Adams, Faith Hill, Diane Krall & Russell Peters; meanwhile has 8 albums and a good sense of humour of her own (As seen on her popular youtube videos which include her own Wisdom Tooth removal, and romantic run in with a mannequin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVLleGAPUTg . Miss Dekker and her multi-instrumentalist talents are hitting the road for most of the rest of this year, so here on this Friday night Red Truck Stop LIVE proudly presents her Euro show in her own “backyard”. @melanie.dekker www.melaniedekker.com.

Who’s on stage with her? Hello! Allan Rodger, a music-producer. Crosstown Studio. Rodger focuses on the music (the Canucks game can surpass that with feverish enthusiasm). He was a renegade child, and luckily he got his first drum kit to ‘wack’, after his Penticton parents noticed that he liked to hit the furniture with cutlery. Now a repertoire of being an expert on many instruments, he ‘chooses’ to be the master of the Stratocaster on Dekker’s country ’n pop ’n rock material.
