“Lawyers in Love” is the duo of Michael Odobas and Pat Bahrich. The pair met through a mutual friend who knew they both played music and suggested they get together with instruments. It worked! During a jam night at Michael’s house, they bonded over their mutual love of “yacht rock”, the kind of soft rock that dominated FM radio airwaves in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Pat has got this in your face yet easy going voice that has a cosmic clearing effect! While he works by day for BC Hydro, he also manages an acting career, and is a former standup comedian. Not discounting that he is proud father of two teenage boys, one of whom shares his father’s passion for making music.

Michael started playing bass at age 14 and performed with several original bands in his younger years. Surprisingly, one band was signed to WEA and made an album with Bob Ezrin and Jack Richardson. The act eventually fizzled and Michael stepped away from music to raise a family and pursue a technology career; which had him working and residing in New York City, San Francisco, Dallas & Washington DC. Lucky for us at Red Truck Brewery, Michael returned to Vancouver and resumed songwriting and performing and continues his musical journey by co-writing and performing with several original artists.

Vancouver is home base for both men, who are tolerated by their lovely wives, but adored by their dogs. So! Bellow, Howl, Holler – there’s electricity and thunder with the Lawyers in Love in charge tonight at Red Truck LIVE.
