Harris & DeBray
“It’s roots and it’s rockin’. If you haven’t heard these two, you gotta get out more. She’s on a what you might call a trap kit, and he’s plays guitar with the skills equal to Robert Johnson, Ry Cooder & John Mayer. Easily a Vancouver favourite.” Elephant Ears Entertainment
Harris & DeBray met in a Penticton, BC rock band in 1997. After gigging at Lakeside Resort, they formed Lesismore, a blues/pop/soul quartet. Their duo, Harris&DeBray, emerged from a love for raw, porch-stomping roots ‘n blues—resonating with festivals, concert halls, and any stage. They’re crafting a new album, starting with I’m Here and Shadows, blending originals with covers of Keb Mo’, Colin Linden, Bonnie Raitt, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters, and Howlin’ Wolf.
Leslie has sung since childhood, going pro and opening for Bryan Adams, Tina Turner, Cheap Trick, Steppenwolf, and War. A roots & blues fanatic, she’s also a health nut (but loves wine!), a certified personal trainer, and a former Washington wine marketer. Guilty pleasures? Shoes—LOTS of them!
Curtis, a humble yet brilliant guitarist, trained under Gordon Boothe and started young. His band This Old House opened for Collective Soul and The Offspring. He wrote all songs on Lesismore’s As Much As I Need and is writing for Harris&DeBray and solo projects. He paints houses (a great second gig for creatives), loves beer, wine, and—of course—buying guitars!
