A virtuosic balancing act. After diving into Dave’s world you may find it no wonder his production facility in Vancouver Canada is called “Brainworks”. Betwixt his singing wife and 2 kids, this fireball was in the midst of designing the Guitareo video shoot of his new course on Improvising when I reached out. He also manages to work on the new Bif Naked album, to add to the slew of previous releases which include Nickelback and Joe Satriani. In his repertoire he’s published two Alfred books  “Shredding the Blues” and “Serious Shred”, continues touring with his own 7 albums in tow, and rips it up on shows with 3 Doors Down, Puddle of Mud & a Nuevo Flamenco Band called Kadabra. And yes, that’s Dave on the cover of Guitar Player, Guitar World and Guitar One Magazine!

Dave met Italian singer, Carmelina, at an ‘old fashioned’ CD release party. Carmelina Cupo, a smart and beautiful songstress who sites Madonna as one of her idols, didn’t know then that she would marry Dave. Following the party, he proceeded with fervor to chase her down… but she left for Italy for a year! He stayed in correspondence as much as possible but she was so popular, her email was always “full” and his emails would bounce back~! Well, when she finally bounced back to Vancouver, Dave took her to a Van Halen concert, and the rest was history!

Who doesn’t have great admiration for hard working musicians who excel with talents and zealousness? And this combo is in a league of their own!
