Take the best of what you love about pop, throw in a little soul and some Latin, and you have, Angela Kelman.

After several years as lead singer and principal writer with, Farmer’s Daughter, Angela currently performs with a menagerie of musical projects including her trio, Brothers From Another Mother, The Polyester Philharmonic Retro Trip and The Café Brasilia/Casa Do Samba Experience.

While you could focus on her awards like a Juno, CCMAs Group of the Year and Rising Star, and a BCCMA Hall of Fame induction, you should also know that she is an author of 5 Point Singing System and some amazing kids books like Frank the Cat and Disco Dinosaurs. Legend has it you don’t want to play 60’s and 70’s trivia against her, especially if it has anything to do with music.

With multiple bands and solo albums – Angela keeps her music fresh by continuing to evolve as an artist, genuinely loving it all and sharing that affection with her audience. Her start may have been on the Prairies, meanwhile she’s performed all over Canada and the world, but her heart is all west coast. She now lives on the North Shore with her family, and escapes to Vancouver Island when possible.
